Happy New Year!
over 5 years ago – Tue, Jan 01, 2019 at 08:08:27 PM

Welcome to 2019! Hopefully, the year is off to a great start for you.

I wanted to give you a quick update from METRO.

Obviously, physical copies did not go out in December as planned. We had some problems with the design of the book, as you know. The good news is the design issues are resolved and we should have a print schedule very soon. I'll post that as soon as we have it and keep you updated through the process.

You all should have received your PDF at this point. We will soon be posting the revised PDF (no major changes in the comic itself, but changes throughout the Thank You pages). I hope you've enjoyed the story!

Brian and I are getting started on the story for Volume 2! More on that very, very soon!

An Update on Thank You Pages
over 5 years ago – Mon, Dec 10, 2018 at 01:43:16 AM

All--

Just wanted to let you all know that the Thank You pages have been corrected. I'm having them proofed once more to make sure they look all right. This is the version that will be sent to printers. Just an FYI.

Also--Thank You pages are the Devil. I've learned this now.

An Update

Okay... so I was overzealous when it came to the delivery of the PDF. We're working on it, but I wanted to give you all an update. The long and short of it is that the PDF was put together a couple of weeks ago. There were LOTS of issues with the Thank You pages and a few page-turn problems to be resolved. More than that, though, the whole thing looked just a little blurry to me. I showed it to others, who couldn't see it, but it was driving me nuts. We dug into the files and found there is a way to clear them up a bit, but it takes time. The designer has been working diligently to get the issue resolved. I received an e-mail late last night from the designer. He said he expects to have a final version complete soon. It will need to be proofed once more, of course. But I wanted you to know where we stand. We just want this thing to be solid all the way around.

An Update

So... I've learned that Thank You pages are a nightmare!

We have combed through the entire PDF. The Thank You pages have taken a TON of time--much more than I would have ever anticipated. Of course, we're dealing with 26 pages of names, many of them nicknames or featuring weird fonts or wingdings, so OF COURSE it took a while.

Good news is, proofs have been turned over to our designer and he is making final corrections.

I was overzealous in thinking the PDF would be sent this week. My apologies for that. But once we have these corrections made, we'll have it out to you immediately!
